Gov. Abbott called yet another Special Session yesterday, and lawmakers are moving extremely quickly on his priority school voucher and anti-immigration legislation.

• At 9 a.m. in room E1.030, the House Educational Opportunity & Enrichment Select Committee is hearing HB 1, the Governor's unpopular school voucher bill that has failed session after session.
• At 10 a.m. in room E2.016, State Affairs is hearing anti-immigrant HB 4, which would allow any “peace officer” to ask anyone for proof of citizenship, separate undocumented people from their families, and drop them at a port of entry.

We need all hands on deck at the Capitol tomorrow morning! Can you help us defeat these harmful bills once again?

⭐ ACTIONS TO TAKE AT THE CAPITOL TOMORROW MORNING ⭐

Meet in the first-floor Capitol rotunda at 8 a.m. and look for TFN t-shirts and signs! 

1. Drop cards against both bills: Dropping a card logs your stance on a bill and is submitted to the official bill record. This action can only be taken on the Capitol grounds when a committee is hearing a bill.
2. Register to testify: We need as many folks as possible to testify against these bills! Testify against both bills if you have the knowledge and capacity, and if not, pick the one you're most passionate about.

We've defeated both of these bills before, and tomorrow morning is our moment to show up and do it again. Let's make sure Gov. Abbott gets the message: We're still here and we won't stop fighting for our communities, no matter how many Special Sessions he calls!
