*The City of Harker Heights Receives the 2023 HIRE VETS Medallion Award from the U.S. Department of Labor.* ** ** U.S. Acting Secretary of Labor, Julie A Su, recognized the City as one of the 859 recipients of the 2023 HIRE VETS Medallion Award. This program is the only federal award program that recognizes employers who successfully recruit, hire, and retain veterans. As of December 31, 2022, 36% of the veterans employed by the City of Harker Heights are in leadership positions. The City of Harker Heights joins 859 other companies from 49 states. There were only 2 Texas Cities that received the Medallion Award in the medium class size AND your City was one of them!
