Folks, big news:

Last night, in a monumental win for Virginians, we held the state Senate and flipped the House of Delegates from red to blue.

Democrats will now hold both chambers in the General Assembly, paving the way for progress on everything from reproductive rights to funding for education.

I truly can’t overstate the importance of this victory. Republicans raised record-breaking amounts of money to support their candidates – they knew they couldn’t win on the issues, so they hoped they could spend their way to victory.

They failed because when freedom was on the ballot in Virginia, we turned out in droves and told the GOP that we wanted our rights, not their anti-choice agenda.

But now, I’m not taking time to rest, because it’s on to the next fight: Reelecting my friend Senator Tim Kaine and keeping the Senate blue in 2024. Will you pitch in to help hold the line for Democrats, just as we did last night?

The Virginia GOP threw every trick they had at us to try to prevent exactly this outcome. Massive ad spending, voter purges, misleading mailers – they did everything they could to stack the deck and seize full control of the state legislature.

Because of supporters like you, we didn’t let that happen.
