Yesterday, you showed up for Democratic candidates across our state! The results are in:

17 towns flipped from red to blue at the top of the ticket, including Fairfield, Newington, Colchester, Cromwell, and many historically red towns
Council majorities flipped from red to blue in Cheshire, Wethersfield, Clinton, Ashford, East Lyme and more
Extreme MAGA candidates were defeated in critical elections in Derby and Brookfield
The Mayor of Danbury will be a Democrat for the first time in two decades
Democrats maintained control in contested open seats like Hartford, Waterbury, East Hartford, and West Haven
We saw historic victories for Mayoral candidates of color, women and LGBTQ+ candidates

These victories were possible thanks to the incredible candidates who stepped up to run, volunteers who worked tirelessly to support them, voters who turned out to have their voices heard, and you.

Your generous support to the Connecticut Democratic Party meant we could hold monthly trainings for candidates and volunteers, invest in new technologies and tools, and run top-notch, sophisticated campaigns in every corner of the state.

As our Chairwoman and I were poll standing yesterday with candidates, we felt your energy and enthusiasm and we are sincerely grateful to you for making last night such a success. Thank you.

Our work is never done and the focus must now shift to 2024. But today, we celebrate with you and send our sincere appreciation to the voters who believe in us.
