Homelessness is not a lifestyle choice. This is not a serious government.John xxxxxx, Britain needed a
King’s Speech that would draw a line under 13 years of Tory decline.
What we got was a party completely devoid of leadership and ideas.
A Prime Minister who is too weak to stand up to a Home Secretary who said that
homelessness is a “lifestyle choice”.
A Home Secretary who believes that her job of protecting us all from extremists
- the most basic job of government - is legitimate terrain for her divisive
brand of politics, and is using the police and counterterrorism forces as a
platform for her own ambitions.
We needed a serious plan for national renewal. But with a Prime Minister too
weak to stand up to his own Home Secretary, this is not a serious government.
John xxxxxx, homelessness is a political choice, not a
lifestyle choice – and it’s a choice that this Tory government has made.
The constant delay on no fault evictions. Focusing on their own party ahead of
serving the country.
You can’t fix homelessness without building more affordable homes. You can’t
boost growth unless workers have the homes they need. And you can’t escape a
cost of living crisis unless there is more affordable housing.
What this country needs is a credible plan for growth, with higher living
standards in every community.
My Labour government will deliver this by getting Britain building again.
We will build 1.5 million homes across the country with a reformed planning
programme to unlock Britain’s potential.
A new British energy company delivering cheaper bills and new high paid jobs, an
NHS with the doctors, nurses and technology it needs, stronger policing with
more criminals put behind bars and every young person ready for work and ready
for life.
This is the start of a Britain built to last.
We will soon have the opportunity to put an end to the 13 years of Tory decline
and deliver a decade of national renewal.
When the next general election is called, we must be ready and no effort can be
spared. It will take resources to beat the Tories. That is why I am asking you:
will you donate to Labour’s campaign fund today?

Together, we can get Britain’s future back.
