John: Americans have a right to know and provide input on the federal decisions that impact their communities, including projects like roads, ports or pipelines.

But the Trump Administration wants to fundamentally weaken that right.

The National Environmental Policy Act, known as NEPA, is our country's bedrock environmental law. It's a 50-year-old law that requires federal agencies to fully consider the environmental and public health impacts of government projects, and give the public an opportunity to ask questions and air concerns.

In only four days, the public comment period will close for the Trump Administration's proposal that would undermine the National Environmental Policy Act.

PROTECT NEPA AND OUR ENVIRONMENT >>

The Trump Administration's proposal would:

Drastically cut opportunities for public input
Allow agencies to ignore climate science when deciding to move forward with a project
Allow companies to write their own environmental impact statements

John: With this proposal, the Trump Administration is once again putting the environment and public health at risk.

The Administration gave the public only 60 days to respond to these dangerous and sweeping changes to NEPA, which means we only have until Tuesday, March 10th to speak out, defend our voice and protect NEPA.

John -- we only have FOUR DAYS to speak out and protect NEPA.

I need you to take action with me right now. Add your name and demand the Trump Administration extend the public comment period for its proposed changes to NEPA.

Thank you for your help,

Tom
