Hi John,
The political establishment in San Francisco has failed us. Over the last several years, we've been told no to affordable and middle class housing, no to safe and clean streets, and no to small business.
The cause: our elected officials are fixated on ideology and tribal politics, rather than big ideas or collaboration. That's why I've decided to run to represent you as an elected member of the Democratic Party - to return it to a Party of Results, Not Excuses.

As the child of immigrants who currently rents and resides in the Tenderloin, I have dedicated my life to helping others. I'm a trained neuroscientist from Stanford, a former policy analyst in the Obama Administration, and founder of both startups and philanthropic organizations in San Francisco.
I ran for State Assembly in 2022 on a platform of change. I'm running again in 2024 to be elected to the Democratic Party leadership to make the first step towards that change. As an elected Democrat, we can write innovative resolutions and collaborate with legislators to push bigger ideas. In that spirit, I am also announcing a bold new vision for San Francisco, centered on big ideas and results, and beautifully visualized in a first of its kind visual platform.
This platform presents a safe and vibrant vision for San Francisco. Together, we can say yes to new university campuses to recover our downtown, yes to a green mile with car-free streets and small business night markets, and yes to fixing the government bureaucracy that impedes hiring the police officers, nurses, and ambulance drivers we need today.
This vision is bold. It's ambitious. And we can do it, together.
My candidacy is about ending the age of tribal politics and fixating on ideology. And entering an age of collaboration and consensus building. Together, let's build bridges across San Francisco's political lines to get the results we so desperately need.
