A year ago today, it was Election Day, and I want to take a moment to reflect on the values our campaign ran on, and what they mean to me personally.

We ran a campaign focused on creating more good-paying job opportunities and a growing economy that benefits everyone. Throughout my career as an elected official, I’ve been an outspoken advocate for local steelworkers and all members of organized labor, servicemembers and veterans, teachers, seniors, and working families throughout Northwest Indiana.

We championed women’s rights. After the Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade and extreme Republicans began targeting reproductive rights, I stood proudly with women and pledged to fight for their rights.

And thanks to the countless voters, dedicated volunteers, and supporters like you who read these emails and pitch in when you can, we celebrated a victorious re-election campaign in a competitive, high-stakes race.
