2024 Registration Is Open!
Join us April 18-19, 2024 in Salt Lake City, UT!

The anti-trafficking field serves survivors from diverse backgrounds with diverse needs. However, many programs and public policy are developed with a “one size fits all” approach. As seasoned anti-trafficking professionals, we know there are communities that fall through the cracks. We must move beyond the fundamentals to support these survivors.

The 2024 conference will focus on the specialized approach to serving survivors with varying needs and identities. Sessions for the 2024 conference will highlight underserved populations, for example, men and boys, older survivors, survivors with disabilities, LGBTQIA2S+ survivors, and labor trafficking, among others. Workshops and sessions will highlight practical and specialized approaches to anti-trafficking work.

It Can't Be Both
The National Human Trafficking Hotline cannot act as a law enforcement tipline and help survivors.

Throughout 2023, the National Human Trafficking Hotline (NHTH) has come under scrutiny after claims from 36 State Attorneys General that the hotline is failing to report tips to law enforcement.

These claims put human trafficking survivors in unsafe situations and are misdirected because the hotline is not legally required to report cases of trafficking to law enforcement.

Re-Centering Sex Worker Safety

Freedom Network USA and the National Survivor Network are excited to share our new guidelines, directly informed by a collection of sex worker safety advocates: Re-Centering Sex Worker Safety in Anti-Trafficking Work: Perspectives from the Field.

It is undeniable that the anti-trafficking movement has hurt individuals in the sex trades, some of whom are human trafficking survivors. These guidelines were created by the FNUSA members who serve on the Sex Worker Rights Committee to help anti-trafficking organizations reduce the harm that our efforts cause to those in the sex trades and work more collaboratively with sex worker safety advocates.

We hope that the anti-trafficking field utilizes this resource as a guide for their work, and we are grateful to our incredible collaborators on this project!
