I’ve never been more hopeful, Friend. Last night, Democrats enjoyed victories all across the country: - In Kentucky, Democrat Andy Beshear handily won re-election in a campaign where he focused strongly on every person’s right to abortion.
- In Ohio, an overwhelming majority of voters chose to protect the right to an abortion within their state constitution.
- In Virginia, Democrats flipped their State House and expanded their majority in the State Senate, effectively eliminating any possibility of Republic Governor Glenn Younkin passing a statewide abortion ban.

And right here in Texas, we saw significantly increased turnout, resulting in big Democratic wins across the state.
Here’s the thing, Friend -- in the 2020 election, Democrats came closer to winning here in Texas than either Kentucky OR Ohio. If victory can happen in redder states than us, it can happen right here, in Texas.
