John,
Abortion was on the ballot last night across the country — and women won big.
In Ohio, voters approved an amendment to enshrine abortion protections in the state constitution.
In Virginia, Democrats swept — not only protecting their Senate majority, but FLIPPING the House of Delegates. Glenn Youngkin and Virginia Republicans were on a warpath to win a Republican trifecta and implement a 15-week abortion ban in the state. It backfired.
In Kentucky, Andy Beshear beat extremist David Cameron, who endorsed a state law banning abortions with no exceptions.
I'll say this again, because it bears repeating: In every single election where abortion has been on the ballot since the fall of Roe v. Wade, abortion rights have prevailed.
Last night proved that abortion is still a winning issue for Democrats, and women and young people are fired up and ready to head to the polls in 2024 to make Republicans sorry they ever uttered the words “pro-life.”
