Today is a big day for Ground Game: we just released our “Marijuana Reform Impact Report” from our 2022 electoral campaigns!

You can see the full report here. [[link removed]] Here are some of the highlights from our organizing and electoral victories across five Texas cities:

300
people
out
of
jail
in
the
first
year
of
policy
implementation
in
Killeen
and
San
Marcos
*
In
Killeen,
the
beneficiaries
of
the
policy
include
Black
community
members
who
are
subject
to
dramatically
disproportionate
rates
of
arrest;
the
average
jail
stay
for
a
Bell
County
marijuana
arrest
is
39
days
*
Ground
Game
not
only
won
five
elections
on
the
issue,
but
also
helped
elect
several
city
council
members
who
supported
the
policy
*
In
Denton
and
Harker
Heights,
City
officials
responded
to
the
reform
by
INCREASING
marijuana
enforcement
—
a
topic
of
ongoing
political
organizing
