The End Solitary Confinement Act (H.R. 4972) is historic legislation to stop torture, save lives, and improve safety for everyone by prohibiting the torture of solitary confinement in federal prison and immigrant detention facilities. The bill was introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives this summer and has garnered 20 House co-sponsors. Also it has received the endorsement of more than 170 organizations nationwide, including more than 30 faith organizations.

We invite you to take part in the Virtual National Day of Action to End Solitary on Tuesday, November 14 and to share this important opportunity with members of your faith community.

Thank you for joining with people of faith and conscience from coast to coast in support of this life-saving legislation.

In community,
The NRCAT Team

P.S. For more information on the End Solitary Confinement Act, NRCAT has prepared this two-pager available for download and sharing.
