Hi there,
As you may have heard, it’s our 10th anniversary! ([link removed]) At Evidence Action, part of how we celebrate is to dig into the best available data, use rigorous methods, and develop the most robust impact estimates that we can. We’re proud to convey how much impact we’ve created — together — over the last decade.
In case you missed it: We’ve reached over half a billion people with our interventions. We’ve saved 15,000 lives of children under five. We’ve provided over 10 million people with access to safe water. And we’ve delivered 1.8 billion deworming treatments.
Our committed staff drive this unprecedented impact. I recently returned from visiting our offices in Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, and India. Throughout my conversations with staff, I was struck by how clear-eyed and focused our teams are to achieving our ambitious mission. We’re now nearly 800 strong, all united behind our mandate of scaling evidence-based and cost-effective programs that dramatically reduce the burden of poverty.
Thank you for your support. I hope the updates and insights below keep you inspired and motivated — because we’ve got even bigger plans ahead!
Here’s to the next ten years!
Kanika Bahl

Standout stat
5.8%
A recent impact assessment ([link removed]) reveals our work has resulted in an extraordinary reduction in parasitic worm prevalence in Kenya! The rate of soil-transmitted helminth infection among children has dramatically declined from 32.3% in 2012 to just 5.8% in 2022. We’ve also calculated that our deworming work over the past decade has produced $23 billion in productivity gains! ([link removed])
