Hi there --
After the tragic school shooting in Parkland last year, Donald Trump sent along his thoughts and prayers -- while states passed fifty laws to take on gun violence. We can't count on the federal government to act as long as Mitch McConnell is in the driver's seat, but state legislators don't need the Senate's permission to make life better for the millions of people they represent.
We can flip one state legislature blue as soon as this fall: in Virginia, where the state GOP refused to even consider legislation during a special session specifically on reducing gun violence. Donate $10 or whatever you can to help recruit and support young people in Virginia and across the country who are ready to get in there and get things done.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Our candidates have ideas for the problems that their communities are facing, and they've committed the time it really, truly takes to talk to hundreds or thousands of voters about their concerns. And unlike a big national election, state legislative races aren't won on Twitter or in the FEC reports: you win by having the right ideas and talking with the most people about those ideas.
We can make sure that Virginians start 2020 with new representation and a new chance for progress -- chip in today.
Thanks!
