2023 Election Recap

While some races remain undecided and there are still votes to be counted,
many races have been called, and we want to provide you with a brief recap
of where things currently stand.

In Virginia, victorious GOPAC Election Fund endorsed candidates include:

HD-22: Ian Lovejoy (R) defeats Travis Nembhard (D)

SC-12: Glen Sturtevant (R) defeats Natan McKenzie (D)

SD-17: Emily Brewer (R) defeats Clinton Jenkins (D)

SD-19: Christie New Craig (R) defeats Myra Payne (D)

SD-20: Bill DeSteph (R) defeats Victoria Luevanos (D)

SD-27: Tara Durant (R) defeats Joel Griffin (D) and Monica Gary (I)

Also, congratulations to the following members of GOPAC's Legislative
Leaders Advisory Board:

HD-33: Todd Gilbert (R) defeats Bob Smith (D)

SD-28: Bryce Reeves (R) defeats Jason Ford (D) and Elizabeth Melson (I)

And congratulations to the following Alumni of GOPAC's Emerging Leaders
Program:

HD-61: Michael Webert (R) defeats Larry Jackson (D)

HD-74: Mike Cherry (R) (uncontested)

HD-75: Carrie Coyner (R) defeats Stephen Miller-Pitts

SD-6: Todd Pillion (R) (uncontested)

In New Jersey:

Senator Mike Testa, a member of GOPAC's Emerging Leaders Class of 2021, was
re-elected to represent New Jersey State Senate District 1. We will
continue to monitor the remaining races in New Jersey and provide updates
as they become available.

Special Elections:

Florida:

Mike Redonodo (R) defeated Johnny Farias (D) and Francisco De La Paz (I) in
the Florida House District 118 special election.

Massachusetts:

Peter Durant (R) defeated Jonathan Zlotinik (D) in the Massachusetts Senate
Worcester / Hampshire District special election.

Primary Elections:

Florida:

Erica Booth (R) defeated Scotty Moore (R) and Ken Davenport (R) in the
Florida House District 35 primary election. The general election for this
race will take place on January 16, 2024.
