It can be difficult to appreciate progress when we are reminded daily of the world’s atrocities. The 24/7 news cycle has focused us entirely on the darkest human experiences and offers little respite. Crisis moments beget crisis moments, and the threat of hopelessness looms.

This is why our work at the It Gets Better Project is so important. Even now, as hundreds of anti-LGBT+ bills circulate throughout nearly all 50 states, we can find ways to connect LGBTQ+ youth to the joy of their community – to uplift and empower them to create the world in which they want to live.

I am honored to share with you the It Gets Better Project’s 2022 annual report [[link removed]], a digest of impact centered around elevating the next generation of LGBTQ+ young people to realize and pursue their greatest potential.

All of this has been made possible through the generous investments you have made to help us create a world where all LGBTQ+ youth are free to live equally, connect with their communities, and know their power as individuals.
