John: the polls are closed in Mississippi, and it's official: Fabian Nelson has WON his campaign, officially becoming the first out LGBTQ+ person elected to the state legislature. I couldn't be more excited for him - and we're going to send him a card letting him know we're proud of him. Add your name to tell him CONGRATULATIONS!

Victory Fund went all-in to support Fabian's campaign. At the beginning of Fabian's campaign, we deployed staff on the ground, helping him draft his narrative, campaign messaging strategy and mail pieces. We organized phone banks and joined Fabian on the campaign trail, knocking doors and organizing volunteers, while promoting his campaign to our national network, ensuring access to new supporters (like you!) and encouraging other organizations to show their support. Thanks to our national network of advocates, we were able to raise over $50,000 that went towards Fabian's campaign!

Fabian's win is a step forward for Mississippi's LGBTQ+ community. When I campaigned with Fabian, I saw how his message of hope resonated with voters across the district. I know he'll be a fantastic representative - and inspire more LGBTQ+ people to step forward and run.
