carried out the worst slaughter of Jews since the Holocaust. 1,400 men, women, children and elderly were brutally massacred. 240 people are still held captive by Hamas in Gaza – while 7,200 Israelis are battling the injuries they sustained.


Israel held a national day of mourning today in memory of those murdered. Tonight in Washington, House Speaker Mike Johnson and Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries

led a vigil on the steps of the Capitol alongside family members of those taken hostage.

President Biden spoke by phone with Prime Minister Netanyahu, and Vice President Harris called President Herzog – each reiterating America’s continued support for Israel as it fights to destroy Hamas.


Israelis are still grieving, and still under attack. Across the country, Israeli civilians have endured an incessant bombardment of rocket attacks since October 7. More rockets were launched today at Tel Aviv and cities in central Israel.


In total, 9,500 rockets have been launched at Israeli cities and towns. Iron Dome continues to operate over Israelis skies, saving countless lives.
