John, With polls closing soon in Virginia, I have a few things to say. Today’s elections will decide decades of policy in Virginia, from abortion access to voting rights. Not only that, Virginia’s elections will serve as a bellwether for the rest of the country — especially the DMV area. This past weekend, I spent Saturday in the Commonwealth supporting incredible candidates and getting out the vote from Norfolk to Virginia Beach. Here are a few highlights: Let me tell you: everywhere I went, the energy and drive just didn’t stop. Countless organizers, volunteers, and voters have poured their hearts into stopping MAGA extremists and sending strong leadership to Richmond. I was only one of many on the ground the past few days to fight for every last vote. John, we are at our best when we come together like we just did in Virginia. Together, we are building a movement, not a moment. So no matter what happens in the Commonwealth, we need to bring the same tireless energy to defending our freedoms and rights in next year’s elections, in Maryland and nationwide. Let’s not just be grateful for the work being done in Virginia, John. Let’s carry it forward. Elevate, Wes Moore |
