The rollout of Starbucks' famous holiday cups on Red Cup Day is the busiest day of the year for workers like me. We're on our feet all day, racing around, and getting yelled at by customers who are waiting for their orders because management doesn't properly staff our stores.
Thanks to our work on Red Cup Day, Starbucks makes millions in profits. It's a huge contributor to the $3.3 BILLION in profits Starbucks raked in last year.
But where does that money go? Not to workers like me. It goes to Starbucks' CEO, executives, and shareholders – people who don't care about the exploitative conditions we work in.

For years, we've been calling for higher wages. Just recently, Starbucks gave in to our demand and announced raises across stores – but not for workers at union stores. They never would have raised wages if it wasn't for us, but now they're using it to punish worker organizing. It's just another example of Starbucks' disgusting and illegal union busting.
We're demanding that Starbucks respect worker-organizing, stop violating labor law, and start bargaining in good faith. For over a year, Starbucks has tried to intimidate and bully us, racking up a record number of labor violations and becoming one of the most prolific union-busters in modern US history.
