"Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God's people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone."

– Ephesians 2:19-21

Africa & Europe

  • Praise God for four boys rescued from slavery in the Ghana fishing industry. While not all the children are sure how long they have worked on the lake, some guessed it had been three to five years since they first were trafficked. Pray for IJM's aftercare team as they assess the unique needs of each child and create a plan for each boy to received appropriate psychosocial support as they recover from trauma. Learn more about this rescue.

Latin America

  • Please continue to pray for male survivors of sexual violence and sex trafficking in Latin America. As our teams and partners in the field have supported them with legal services and trauma therapy over the years, they have found that male survivors experience violence and show trauma in a different way, requiring a different approach to their aftercare. Please pray that all male survivors we serve can experience breakthrough in their healing process as we continue to seek justice in their cases.

South Asia

  • Please pray for our aftercare teams across South Asia as they begin supporting a large number of families recently rescued from bonded labor slavery. As these families return home, they need all kinds of emotional and physical support, such as safe housing, food, job training, counseling and education support for children. We also try to connect them to special government programs designed to help people rescued from trafficking, and to other survivors in their communities who have shared their recovery journey. Pray our aftercare teams can support these survivors well as they rebuild life in freedom.

Southeast Asia

  • Pray for favor as our team works to develop relationships with other NGOs in this region in order to build up aftercare capacity to serve survivors. Pray also for great relationships with judges and prosecutors as we partner together to seek justice for young children.
