• Representative Stauber and his anti-Wilderness cronies in Congress are doing everything they can to reverse the 20-year ban on mining protections we achieved earlier this year including attaching sneaky riders and amendments onto must-pass budget bills.
  
  
• Antofagasta, the Chilean mining giant behind the Twin Metals mine, will stop at nothing to resurrect its rejected sulfide-ore copper mine in the watershed of the Boundary Waters. Just this year, Antofagasta is on track to spend about three-quarters of a million dollars lobbying on “mining issues” in Congress. 

But we won’t let these things happen to the Boundary Waters. We are committed to ensuring that the Boundary Waters is a forever Wilderness, and we tirelessly advocate in D.C. to protect this boreal Wilderness permanently. But we can’t do this without Wilderness Defenders like you on our side.
