Today is the 55th Anniversary of "Bloody Sunday," when Rep. John Lewis and a group of Civil Rights Heroes were beaten bloody on national TV by the Alabama State Police on the Pettus Bridge in Selma -- temporarily stopping their voting rights march to State House in Montgomery.We need to restore the Voting Rights Act after the Shelby County vs. Holder ruling in 2013. We need to expand access to the ballot box, instead of closing polling places. We need to make lines to vote shorter, instead of having too few voting machines causing long lines on election day.
