Hey John,
With just 10 days left, Kim Foxx is tied in the Cook County State’s Attorney race with a billionaire’s son funded by Republicans and Trump donors.
Foxx’s opponent is named Bill Conway, and he’s been spending millions of his father’s money to run attack ads against Kim Foxx all over Chicago and Cook County. These ads are impacting voters, and it’s making us nervous that this race is getting very close.
John, we don’t have millions to outspend Conway, but we have people like you. Will you rush your first $5 donation to our work today so we can launch digital ads and send out volunteers to combat Conway’s attacks?
Bill Conway has offered no platform for changing criminal justice-- in fact, he’s said he wants to walk back the improvements Kim Foxx has made. Here’s what we know about him:
- Conway has received over $10 million in campaign contributions from his father and other executives at the Carlyle Group.1 The Carlyle Group is an investment firm that has profited from arms deals in the Iraq War, tear gas used on protestors in Ferguson, MO, and mass incarceration of Black people and ICE detention centers.2,3,4
- Conway has not worked a full-time job related to the criminal justice system in Chicago since 2012. Instead he’s focused on working as an investment banker at JP Morgan and teaching at a business school.5
- Conway’s campaign has taken donations from major Republican donors, including some who are also funding Trump’s re-election campaign.6
It’s up to us to make sure people know the truth about Bill Conway. Help us spread the truth by chipping in $5 to launch the urgent digital ads and volunteers we need to reach thousands of people!
In contrast to the privileged life of Bill Conway, Kim Foxx grew up in the Cabrini Green projects, and has seen the racism and injustice of the criminal legal system impact her own family.
She is the only person in this race who has done real work to change that injustice, decreasing the prison population while crime rates still decreased.7
She is the only one who can say that she’s changed over 1000 people’s lives who were targeted by racist marijuana charges.8
She is the only one who can say that she’s cleared the names of 94 people who were wrongfully convicted by corrupt police officers.9
The next 10 days are our last chance. If we can get thousands of voters the truth about Kim Foxx’s transformative work and Bill Conway’s lies, we can win 4 more years of real justice for the people of Cook County.
Please, John, rush a $5 donation so we can reach thousands of people with digital ads and volunteer outreach before Election Day.

Thank you for standing with us and Kim Foxx in this crucial moment for Black people, and the entire community in Cook County.
Until justice is real,
