Audience: Current CFSS Development and Implementation Council members, people who receive services, family members, personal care assistance (PCA) agencies, lead agency staff and other interested parties

Application deadline: Open until positions are filled, but we encourage people to apply by Nov. 22, 2023

Summary: The CFSS Development and Implementation Council looks to fill seats that will open in January 2024. The council consults and collaborates with DHS on the development and implementation of CFSS policy. People who apply should have knowledge of the current PCA and/or Consumer Support Grant programs in Minnesota.

Audience:?Lead agencies, case managers, MMIS data entry staff and other interested parties

Effective dates: Dec. 1-6, 2023

Summary:?County and tribal nation staff must refrain from adding or making changes to Alternative Care, Brain Injury, Community Alternative Care, Community Access for Disability Inclusion, Developmental Disabilities, Elderly Waiver, Essential Community Supports and Consumer Support Grant service agreements from Dec. 1-6, 2023, or until DHS sends an all-clear eList to lead agencies. DHS will enter rate changes in MMIS and run the automation process from Dec. 1-6.

Summary: Early next year, DHS will start Round 5 of lead agency reviews of HCBS program activity. DHS completed Round 4 in August 2023, with reviews of 90 lead agencies (87 counties and three tribal nations). This included the case-file review of a 6,851-person sample of those served through HCBS waiver programs.

Summary: This two-day training will cover how to use safety science principles to respond to critical incidents, engage employees in safety and improvement efforts and analyze systemic factors related to unintended outcomes.
