It's Election Day– and our democracy is on the line

Dear Democracy Defender:

Hello, fellow Americans! It's the second Tuesday in November—Election Day–have you and your neighbors voted? Don’t be distracted by the leaves falling (if you have them); we have elections to win–and they’re crucial.

State and municipal elections are like pomegranates: they may look a little boring on the outside, but on the inside they are a wild sight to see. Locally, we literally choose who runs the guts of our democracy. So this is the day we make a difference, and right now we have a chance to turn the outcome in our favor.

How do we defend democracy in this election? By showing would-be autocrats across the country that people who revere democracy ARE THE MAJORITY, and we mean business.

When WE stay home, they win. We will fight corruption in Mississippi and oust Tate Reeves. We will fight for personal freedoms in Ohio, and keep Andy Beshear, governor of Kentucky, because he will make our democracy work for all Kentuckians. With our votes, we can ensure that each branch of government in NJ, PA, VA and the other states that have elections today reflect the will of the people.
