John, I have a quick 15 minutes of free time this morning before my next meeting – which is rare with my schedule of working long hours in Washington and traveling across Nevada. So as I finish up my coffee, I've been reflecting a bit on why I'm running for reelection to the Senate, and I wanted to share my "why" with you.

Growing up as the granddaughter of Jewish immigrants and the daughter of a World War II veteran, my family instilled in me the values of hard work, determination, and persistence at a young age.

I worked multiple jobs to make my way through college, including as a cocktail waitress at Caesars Palace – and proudly became the first in my family to graduate. Then, I went on to work as a computer programmer, where I witnessed pay discrimination in a male-dominated field.

All of these experiences have informed my "why" – why I ran for public office in the first place. Why I fight so hard for working families. Why I'm working tirelessly to win reelection to the Senate so I can continue bringing much-needed progress to the lives of all Americans.

But to be honest, I can't keep up this fight alone. With CNN analysts calling me one of the most vulnerable senators up for reelection, Mitch McConnell and his allies are coming after me as a top target for defeat. Now, polling shows me 2 points down. I need your critical grassroots support to fight back and win, John:

So please, will you pitch in $5 or more right now to help me defend this battleground seat, protect our Democratic Senate majority, and keep fighting to make a real difference for you and your family?

Thank you so much. It means the world to have your support.

– Jacky
