Hours
City, Town and School-Only Elections
7 a.m.* - 8 p.m.
*In elections that are only for cities, towns, and/or school districts, polling places located in the metropolitan area do not have to open until 10 a.m. Those outside the metropolitan area do not have to open until 5 p.m. The metropolitan area is defined as the counties of Anoka, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Hennepin, Isanti, Ramsey, Scott, Sherburne, Washington, and Wright. Check with your local Elections Office to confirm hours of your polling place.
Track Your Ballot
You can track the status of your ballot to confirm that it was received and counted.
Returning Your Ballot in Person
You can return your ballot in person no later than 8PM on Election Day to the Election Office that sent your ballot. Some voters may also return it in one of the designated ballot drop box locations. You may not drop your ballot off at your polling place on election day.
