The NAFCU Board of Directors and senior association staff today met directly with Federal Reserve Governor Michelle Bowman and senior Fed staff to discuss important credit union issues and share NAFCU’s Annual Report on Credit Unions.
The NAFCU Board of Directors and senior staff met with Federal Reserve Board of Governors Michelle Bowman Monday to share the association's 2023 Annual Report on Credit Unions, which details the latest issues and trends affecting credit unions and the impact of Fed actions. A copy of the report – now available online – was sent to members after the meeting.
NAFCU and CUNA wrote a joint letter Monday to CFPB Director Rohit Chopra urging the bureau to hold a new Small Business Regulatory Enforcement Fairness Act (SBREFA) Panel where Small Entity Representatives (SERs), which includes credit unions, can better estimate the impact of the proposals in its Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) rulemaking effort and the potential costs on operations.
