Tuesday Elections Give a Pulse on the Nation One Year Ahead of Presidential Election

US News: U.S. voters on Tuesday will cast ballots to choose governors in Kentucky and Mississippi, decide legislative control in Virginia and New Jersey (US News). Life News: Perhaps the biggest surprise this year is the race for governor of Kentucky where incumbent pro-abortion Gov. Andy Beshear was far ahead of pro-life Attorney General Daniel Cameron until the latest poll campaign out. Last month an Emerson College poll had Beshear up by a whopping 16 points. But a poll last week had them tied at 47% each (Life News). ABC: Control of both chambers of Virginia’s state legislature is up for grabs, with Republicans holding a narrow majority in the state House and Democrats leading the state Senate. Either or both chambers could flip and possibly give Republicans full control of state government. That would clear the way for Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin to implement a ban on abortions after 15 weeks with exceptions for rape, incest and when the mother’s life is endangered. Democratic candidates have campaigned heavily on the issue (ABC).

Ohio Votes on Abortion
Washington Post: On Tuesday, voters across the country will head to the polls for Election Day. And while the elections – and the issues on the ballots – cover a lot of ground, there’s one big theme running through the elections: abortion. In a state such as Ohio, abortion is explicitly on the ballot. Ohio voters will determine abortion access on a ballot measure called “Issue One.” If it passes, the measure would guarantee abortion access up to the point of fetal viability (Washington Post). Fox News: Last month, a bipartisan group of 100 Black pastors signed a letter opposing Issue 1 writing that it is “more extreme than Roe v. Wade” and “will allow for painful, late-term abortions through all nine months of pregnancy – even after an unborn baby can feel pain” (Fox News).

Israel Launches Hundreds of Precision Airstrikes Against Hamas
Daily Wire: Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Monday that over the last 24 hours it had executed an intense aerial bombing campaign against Hamas. IDF captured a Hamas military compound inside Gaza that contained observation posts, training areas for Hamas operatives, and underground terror tunnels, according to a press release. IDF said that its fighter jets had “struck over 450 Hamas targets, including tunnels, terrorists, military compounds, observation posts, anti-tank missile launch posts and more” (Daily Wire). Jerusalem Post: Israeli Navy struck Hamas targets, including anti-tank launch posts. Israel Air Force jets struck and killed Hamas terrorists, including Jamal Mussa who was responsible for the special security operations for Hamas (X).

Hamas Leaders Live Luxurious Lives While the Palestinian People are Extremely Impoverished
Daily Mail: Conditions in the Gaza Strip have long been dire, with the territory referred to by some as the world’s ‘largest open air prison’. Even before the outbreak of war in the wake of Hamas’s October 7 terror attack on Israel, half of Palestinians living in Gaza depended on food supplied by the United Nations. Those conditions have deteriorated over the last month, as Israel continues its bombardment of the 140-square-mile Strip in its mission to destroy the Hamas terror group. But as the territory’s 2.3million people suffer, several hundred millionaires are registered in the coastal Strip. And while the majority of citizens in the densely populated territory – which is a quarter of the size of Greater London – languish in poverty, a select few live in marble-floored mansions and luxury hotels. Three of Hamas’s most senior leaders – Mousa Abu Marzouk, Khaled Mashal and Ismail Haniyeh – have net worths of more than $3 billion each. The embassy also claims that Hamas’s annual turnover is $1 billion and suggests the group is second only to ISIS as the world’s richest terror group (Daily Mail). Essa News: Their exorbitant lifestyle is flaunted on social media, showcasing their expensive cars and nights in luxury hotels. They misappropriate the assistance funds intended for humanitarian aid and reconstruction of the devastated nation. While some of the money goes towards buying weapons and building underground tunnels, a huge chunk is simply pocketed (Essa News).

U.S. Senator Introduce Legislation Threatening to Strike Iran if They Intensify War in Israel
Daily Caller: Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut are set to introduce legislation threatening to strike Iran if the country expands the conflict in the Middle East. The two senators are backing the non-binding resolution as the Iranian-backed militia group Hezbollah has raised tensions on the Israel border in Lebanon and attacked U.S. forces in Syria and Iraq. The Pentagon recently sent 900 additional troops to the Middle East to combat the Iran-backed militia attacks on U.S. forces (Daily Caller). News Nation: As tensions rise along Israel’s northern border with Hezbollah in Lebanon, the senators stressed the importance for action. This resolution coincides with increased hostilities as Iran’s proxy forces in Syria and Iraq intensify their attacks on U.S. troops stationed in these regions (News Nation).

Former President Obama Bears Massive Responsibility for the Attacks Against Israel
Wall Street Journal: Even Barack Obama supported Israel in dismantling Hamas, a senior Israeli official was eager to tell me early in the war. On Oct. 23, in a 1,130-word statement, Mr. Obama called for Israeli restraint. Now, on the “Pod Save America” podcast, Mr. Obama counsels “an admission of complexity.” In a part of the interview released Saturday, Mr. Obama says: “What Hamas did was horrific and there’s no justification for it. And what is also true is that the occupation and what’s happening to Palestinians is unbearable.” To get to the full truth, “you then have to admit nobody’s hands are clean, that all of us are complicit to some degree.” He adds: “As hard as I tried—I have the scars to prove it—but there’s a part of me that’s still saying, ‘Well, was there something else I could have done?’” Only a part? Mr. Obama sent Iran $1.7 billion in cash, released some $100 billion in frozen assets and unshackled Iranian industry. Predictably, Tehran used the money to build up each front—Gaza, Lebanon, the West Bank, Syria, Iraq and Yemen—in today’s war on Israel. The rest of Mr. Obama’s policy paved the way. In August 2012, he drew a “red line.” The U.S. would respond militarily if Syria used chemical weapons. When it did a year later, Mr. Obama blinked and then let Russia bail him out by pretending to remove all the chemical weapons. Russia never left Syria, and propping up Bashar al-Assad solidified its alliance with Iran (Wall Street Journal).

Woman in Indiana Drives Car into Building She Described as “Jewish School”
This is a terrorist attack on U.S. soil .New York Post: An Indiana woman, whom cops described as a “terrorist,” has been arrested after she allegedly plowed her car into what she thought was a Jewish school. Ruba Almaghtheh, 34, allegedly backed her vehicle into a building associated with Black Hebrew Israelites in Indianapolis late Friday while several adults and children were inside, Fox 59 reported. The driver copped to targeting the building, which houses the Israelite School of Universal and Practical Knowledge, because she was allegedly offended by a “Hebrew Israelite” symbol out front. Yes. I did it on purpose,” Almaghtheh allegedly said in the wake of her arrest. She repeatedly described the building as the “Israel school,” cops said, adding that the driver also made a reference to “her people back in Palestine” (New York Post). ABC: Almaghtheh was arrested for criminal recklessness. The IMPD said they informed the FBI about the arrest. Last week, FBI Director Christopher Wray told a Senate panel that while Jewish people make up 2.4% of the United States population, they are the targets of nearly 60% of all religious-based hate crimes (ABC).

Manifesto of Nashville Trans Shooter Released
This is a direct result of all the violent rhetoric of the left. Ed Morrissey: If this is legit, though, it points up again the strange decision to keep the manifesto under wraps at all. If the perp survived, it might make some sense to keep it sealed until trial, but Hale died the same day she massacred kids and adults at Covenant School. There was no jury pool to taint with a public release of the manifesto. Assuming these three pages are the worst of the diary, they don’t implicate anyone else, nor do they promote any particular cause. Had they released it immediately, the information would have doused the curiosity over the perp’s sick mental musings quickly and no one would even speak her name at this point. Plus, the decision to hide this particular manifesto looked political in and of itself, granting some absurd privacy on the basis of the perp’s ‘identity,’ which also seems to have been her motive in conducting the massacre. (HotAir). Steven Crowder: Nashville School Covenant Shooter Audrey Hale’s “DEATH DAY” Manifesto Targeted “Cr*ckers” with “white privlages” “wanna kill all you little cr*ckers” “I hope I have a high death count” “I’m ready…I hope my victims aren’t.” “Ready to die” (X).

Judge During Trump’s Testimony: "I'm not here to hear what he has to say!"
Washington Examiner: Judge Arthur Engoron became testy to the point of shouting at Trump’s defense attorneys to “sit down!” after they began responding to Engoron’s complaints that Trump was giving “speeches” instead of answering questions appropriately. Engoron then lectured Trump and his attorneys for “editorializing” after Trump claimed he was too busy during a period in 2021 to pay close attention to financial documents because Democrats, “all Trump haters,” were targeting him then. Trump also drew the judge’s ire when he referred to the trial as “crazy.” Engoron asked Trump’s attorneys to tell their client to answer questions with “yes” or “no.” “Mr. Chris Kise, can you control your client? This is not a political rally,” Engoron said. Trump’s attorneys argued the questions Trump was being asked were not succinct and, therefore, did not result in succinct answers. They also said the questions warranted “narratives” as responses and that Engoron should “want to hear” what Trump, of all witnesses, had to say. “I’m not here to hear what he has to say!” Engoron yelled. “Sit down, Mr. Kise! Sit down, Ms. Habba!” Trump then said, unprompted, into his microphone, “This is a very unfair trial. Very, very, and I hope the public is watching” (Washington Examiner). Journalist Julia: Trump’s lawyer Alina Habba goes scorched earth on AG Letitia James and Judge Engoron after trial, saying he tried “to shorten my client’s testimony,” told her to “sit down,” and was “unhinged.” “They’ve got nothing but their politics. She’s got nothing but her Soros-backing” (X).

Just Stop Oil Activists Target Another Art Piece
Daily Caller: Another round of idiot children decided to smash priceless pieces of art on Monday, leading to two arrests and another round of eye-rolls from those of us who understand what’s actually killing the planet. Two angry, stupid little minions from the Just Stop Oil organization smashed the Rokeby Venus by Diego Velazquez, which was also slashed by suffragette Mary Richardson back in 1914, according to the group’s official social media. The incident occurred at the National Gallery in London (Daily Caller). Just Stop Oil: SUFFRAGETTE PAINTING SMASHED. Our government have revealed plans for MORE oil licences, knowing it will kill millions. In response, two supporters of Just Stop Oil smashed the Rokeby Venus — slashed by Mary Richardson in 1914. Deeds, not words (X). Townhall: Just Stop Oil activists have previously targeted Vincent van Gogh’s “Sunflowers,” Horatio McCulloch’s “My Heart’s in the Highlands,” J M W Turner’s “Tomson’s Aeolian Harp,” Vincent van Gogh’s “Peach Trees in Blossom,” John Constable’s “The Hay Wain,” and Giampietrino’s “The Last Supper” (Townhall).
