Dear  john,

I hope that you and your family enjoyed celebrating Halloween last week. As we gear up for Thanksgiving, the House of Representatives is hard at work considering and passing individual, single-subject bills to fund the government through a conservative and transparent process.

Speaker Johnson Takes the Helm

One of the major concessions we secured when electing a Speaker back in January was ensuring that the appropriations process to fund the government was transparent, orderly, and thorough. Each agency needed to be reviewed separately, and all government spending could not be crammed into a year-end “omnibus” passed in the dark of night right before Christmas.

Speaker Johnson is upholding that promise, and we have now passed 7-12 necessary appropriations bills. I’ve gladly supported these bills in a larger effort to break the status quo in Washington and stop the same old Swamp spending tactics. I will do all I can to ensure that the conservative wins included in these bills become law. I hope that every Representative joins me in fighting against any potential monstrous omnibus bill, as we quite literally cannot afford to continue the Swamp status quo.

Responding to the War in Israel

The October 7th massacre against the state of Israel left people of goodwill across the globe recoiling in horror at the scale and brutality of this terrorist massacre. Let me be clear - Israel has the right to defend herself, and Hamas must face consequences for its horrific actions.

Last week, I proudly voted for a resolution affirming the House of Representatives’ unwavering support for Israel, a resolution condemning antisemitism, and for a bill to send Israel aid for restocking munitions and defending herself against the Hamas terrorists. Notably, Speaker Johnson upset the Swamp by ensuring that the cost of that aid is offset through cuts to President Biden’s army of 87,000 IRS agents.

However, while we must support our allies, especially in times of war, we must also be vigilant, looking at these issues with a level head and considering the long-term ramifications of every foreign policy decision. As I’ve said in this newsletter before, we’ve faced disastrous consequences from the ill-advised war on terror, and our nation should never repeat these foreign policy mistakes. That is why I voted against a resolution that would have authorized “any means necessary, including all forms of military actions, against Iran.

10% for the Big Guy, Literally

Last week, Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer revealed that President Joe Biden received a $40,000 “reimbursement” check from his brother, James Biden. Of course, James Biden had just received a $400,000 payment from China. It couldn’t be clearer that the Big Guy got his 10%, literally.

The Week in Weaponized Government

Our nation’s illegal immigration crisis continues to touch every corner of the country. Liberal mayors who once proudly proclaimed their “sanctuary city” status are now backtracking as they grapple with the negative consequences of open borders. Terror suspects are utilizing the chaos to slip into the country.

Throwing more money at this won’t help – we need concrete policy changes. Taxpayers should not be forced to foot the bill for the havoc wreaked by woke liberal activists.

Biden’s DOJ is still aggressively pursuing a policy of weaponizing the federal government against conservatives. Last week, we took more action to combat this blatant abuse of power

We are investigating the FBI and other agencies for obstructing the investigative work of Senators Grassley and Johnson while they looked into the Russiagate Hoax. We are also investigating the DC Attorney General’s office for their politically motivated investigations into a group of nonprofits run by the renowned lawyer Leonard Leo.

This important investigative work will continue full steam ahead under Speaker Johnson.
