Dear John,
Join us for Conservation Lobby Day on Thursday, March 26th! RSVP here.
Each year, Maine’s legislature makes important decisions that impact our lives, our environment, and our future. When lawmakers hear directly from you, their constituents, it can often make a big difference in how they choose to vote.
I spend most of my days at the State House during the legislative session talking with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle, urging them to make good choices that will safeguard Maine’s people, natural places, and natural resources – and I can tell you from my experience, just how much it matters when constituents show up to talk to their lawmakers directly about the issues that matter most.
Your elected leaders need to hear directly from you. You have the ability to move the needle forward for our land, water, and health. Will you join us on March 26th?
Right now, we have an incredible opportunity to make a real, positive difference for Maine people and our environment. We're teaming up with our partners in Maine’s Environmental Priorities Coalition for Conservation Lobby Day at the Maine State House to let legislators know that Mainers want strong environmental protections. Let's show up in force and build on the incredible momentum we've built so far.
Below is a tentative schedule for the morning's activities:
8:45-9:00: Registration and breakfast at Cross Cafe in the Burton Cross Building in Augusta
9:00-9:30: Lobby training and briefings on priority bills
9:30-9:45: Group photo
9:45 -11:15: Meet and lobby your legislators at the State House
11:15-11:30: Wrap-up
Thank you for standing with us every step of the way to protect Maine's environment and work for a better future for our families.
