The US Department of Homeland Security can soon grant qualifying Ecuadorians family reunification parole on a case-by-case basis with a showing of urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit when they have a family member who is a US citizen or lawful permanent resident.

Sandra Sandoval Chavarria, Justicia Lab’s lead Product Manager, was acknowledged at the 2023 American Legal Technology Awards as the individual who most demonstrated success in making a positive difference in the world as it relates to legal innovation. Sandra Sandoval won the American Legal Technology Awards Individual of the year, while Justicia Lab’s wage recovery project, ¡Reclamo! was a runner-up in the Access to Justice Legal Technology category.
