Hi, John. My name is Gloria Cazares.
On May 24, 2022, I lost one of the most important people in my life.
My daughter, Jackie, was among the 19 children and two teachers killed by a gunman at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde.
While the chaos and pain of that day is indescribable, I knew I had to channel my grief into action — and so did my state senator, Roland Gutierrez.
In the days after Jackie’s death, Roland dedicated himself to supporting families like mine, investigating the tragedy at Robb Elementary School, and changing the loose gun laws that led to this massacre.
But our governor refused to act. And our U.S. Senator, Ted Cruz, didn’t lift a finger to support our grieving community.
That’s why I’m proud to support Roland Gutierrez in this race, John. I’ve seen firsthand his commitment to this fight, and I know he has what it takes to win — but he needs our help. So please, John: Will you join me in supporting Roland with a contribution of $10 or more straight away?
Our household is no stranger to guns, John.
My husband, like so many families in our community, has a license to carry.
But after losing our daughter and her classmates in that terrible tragedy, we knew in our hearts that we could not sit by and let this happen again.
We knew we had to fight for kids like Jackie until the day we died.
And Roland promised he’d be right there with us, fighting to fix Texas’s broken gun laws and showing us how to organize for a better, safer future.
As a parent, nothing is more important than the safety of our kids.
I know. Roland knows.
That’s why I’m supporting him in this campaign.
And that’s why I’m asking you to join me. Please, John: Will you chip in $10, $15, or $25 to help me bring Roland’s leadership to Washington and finally end the gun violence that plagues our communities?
Thank you for joining me in this fight,
Gloria Cazares
