In this newly updated session we’ll review what advocates need to know to fight for their trans and nonbinary loved ones. Then we’ll put what we’ve learned to work, navigating real-world scenarios.

Military Family Appreciation Month

November is Military Family Appreciation Month, and we're proud to support our LGBTQ+ military families and servicemembers! If you're a military family with LGBTQ+ loved ones, we have resources for you in partnership with Modern Military Association of America.

• PFLAG Connects: Military Community provides a safe, virtual, moderated space for military families with LGBTQ+ loved ones to connect for support.

Convention Highlight: Let Freedom Read!

Our opening session from Learning With Love: The 2023 PFLAG National Convention--including the opening keynote from First Lady Jill Biden and our plenary session on fighting back against book bans--is available to watch on YouTube on-demand! The First Lady's words were and inspiring kick-off to the convention. The panel session, moderated by MSNBC's Ali Velshi, featured experts in conversation about how to support inclusive books and education, and why it's important to #ReadWithLove. 📚 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Native American Heritage Month

The designation of November as Native American Heritage Month goes back to a joint congressional resolution signed by President George HW Bush in 1990, with similar proclamations being issued every year since 1994. This is a time to celebrate the traditions, stories, and languages of Native American, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, and affiliated Island communities.

We are #PFLAGProud to support this rich and diverse community, including by investing in minority-owned depository institutions such as Bay Bank, founded in 1995 by the Oneida Nation and a group of five local businessmen, and since 2000, solely owned by the Oneida Nation.
