Before you head to bed for the night and get ready to make your voice heard tomorrow at the polls, I wanted to take a moment to chat a little bit about what Virginia would look like under Republican control.

But first, I have to ask: Will you consider donating $5 to help us hit our Election Day fundraising goal of $14,000?

Now, here’s what Virginia might look like if the GOP win control of both chambers tomorrow:

• Thanks to Democrats in the Virginia Senate, we’ve stopped Republicans in the House of Delegates from passing some really dangerous gun laws. If they win? They’ll be able to pass their proposed concealed handgun legislation – legislation that is the most lenient we’ve seen in years.
• Republicans' vision for access to voting includes elimination of ballot drop boxes, slashing the number of early voting sites, and rolling back access to mail-in ballots. Democrats have blocked these attempts so far, but if Republicans win both chambers this fall, they will have full control to make these measures law.
• The GOP would like to give out big corporate tax cuts to the wealthiest few in Virginia, rather than lower costs for our everyday families.
• Medicaid expansion? Not on the GOP’s watch. They plan to cut back Medicaid for hundreds of thousands of Virginians.
• And last but certainly not least: Republicans plan to enact an abortion ban – joining the rest of the South in restricting a woman’s right to choose.

These policies will only hurt Virginians and take our state backwards.

This is our last chance to give Democrats in the Commonwealth the support they need to win both chambers. Can you contribute today so we can turn Virginia blue?
