On October 15, the Medicare Open Enrollment period began and seniors now have the opportunity to sign up for the program. This year, seniors are able to choose Medicare plans with new cost-saving benefits that came out of laws that Congressional Democrats and President Biden passed, including the Inflation Reduction Act. Today, I’m reaching out to make sure you know about those options. My office is hosting a Medicare Open Enrollment Information Session on Monday, November 13th. Featured speakers will discuss differences between traditional Medicare and Medicare Advantage as well as give guidance on how to choose coverage that best fits your doctor and hospital choice, cost, coverage, and travel needs. | You’ll hear from a Social Security Administration representative and a Federal Trade Commission specialist available to address your questions related to enrollment guidelines and protecting yourself from healthcare scams. My district staff will also be available to assist with federal agency casework. If you have any questions about this event, please contact my district office at 951-222-0203. If you require sign language interpretation, please notify my office three business days before the event by calling my office at 951-222-0203 or emailing [email protected]. | Sign up for my newsletter to get updates on this issue and others! | Washington DC 2078 Rayburn House Office Building Washington, DC 20515 p 202.225.2305 f 202.225.7018 | Riverside County 3403 10th Street, Suite 610 Riverside, CA 92501 p 951.222.0203 f 951.222.0217 | |
