Election Day 2024 is now less than one year away.

That means we have less than one year to win back the House. Less than one
year to strengthen and mobilize our grassroots movement before the last
ballots are cast. Less than one year to draw a clear contrast between
Republicans’ cruelty and chaos and our people-centered, aspirational,
progressive vision.

So as extremist Republicans continue to wreak havoc on voting rights,
abortion access, and our democracy at-large, Ayanna will continue fighting
for a bold agenda that can galvanize support across the country,
including:

* Fighting for a just economy: Ayanna has introduced Federal Job
Guarantee legislation that would make living wages, strong benefits,
union protections, and safe working conditions a legal right in
America. As someone who knows what it's like to work multiple jobs,
she has leveraged her Committee roles to confront the corporations
that are driving everyday costs up for families. She will continue
advocating for true economic justice because families in America
deserve a future where they can not only survive, but thrive.

* Housing as a human right: For Ayanna, safe, affordable housing is a
fundamental human right and a critical determinant of health outcomes,
economic opportunity, and social mobility. She has used her position
on the Financial Services Committee to press for increased federal
investments in our affordable housing stock. She will continue to
advocate for sustainable, robust housing investments to end this
crisis and make affordable, high-quality housing a reality for
everyone.

* Transforming our criminal legal system: For too long, our legal system
has disproportionately targeted and criminalized Black and brown
people. Ayanna is committed to transforming our criminal legal system
into one that centers the dignity and humanity of all people. She has
introduced the People’s Justice Guarantee, a bold framework for a just
criminal legal system that would move us closer to the promise of
equal justice under law. Ayanna has advocated for an end to the
federal death penalty and secured a commitment from President Biden
that no one will be executed by the federal government as long as he
is President.

* Abortion care as a human right: As co-chair of the Abortion Access
Task Force, Ayanna has championed legislation like the Abortion
Justice Act, Women’s Health Protection Act, and repealing the Hyde
Amendment — bold policies that not only restore the abortion rights
taken away from us, but also move us closer to a more just America
where abortion care is readily available — without stigma, shame or
systemic barriers — for all who seek it. Abortion care is healthcare
and an essential human right, and Ayanna will never stop fighting to
affirm that fundamental truth.
