Recently, I received a handwritten letter from a student addressed to "the AVID lady with the red hair." ⬇️
This sweet student couldn't remember my name, but remembered my fiery hair and the support I've given to our school’s AVID program, a college-readiness initiative that helps traditionally underrepresented students succeed in higher education and beyond.
John, it's moments like these that remind me why I'm running for Congress in the first place.
Regardless of what my name is, my priorities for the Central Valley are the same.
Just as I do with my students and their families, I will listen to our community’s biggest concerns and carry your voices with me to D.C.
I’m committed to delivering common-sense solutions for our most pressing issues – unlike insider McCarthy.
