Hi! My name is Carla Frank. I'm on the delegates team here at the Biden campaign. I wanted to ask you a question:

Would you like to represent our campaign at the Democratic National Convention?

Then we would love to have you as one of our delegates from Washington, DC to the convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in July!

One thing you don't hear about in the news very often is that the Democratic primary is not just about winning votes, it's also about winning delegates. Let me explain...

Every state and territory will vote in a primary or caucus between February and June 2020. The results of these votes will determine the number of delegates each candidate wins. To win the Democratic Nomination for President of the United States, we need to win 1,991 delegates.

So what are delegates exactly? They are people like you! As the primary season goes on, Joe Biden will continue to win delegates from across the country. As we win those delegates, we need people like you to be elected to fill those positions.

Delegates go to the convention to represent the votes of their state and vote for Joe Biden to win the nomination.

Delegates are quite literally our path to victory. That's why I'm asking for your help.

Can you run for delegate to represent Vice President Joe Biden and Washington, DC at the Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee?

Thanks -- looking forward to meeting you in Milwaukee!
