Upcoming Section 14(c) Stakeholder Engagement Session

The U.S. Department of Labor announced it will hold a series of stakeholder engagement sessions to hear from members of the public, in particular workers with disabilities, about their experiences with the Section 14(c) program. The next session will take place virtually, on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 5:30 ? 7:00 PM ET.

Accommodation requests must be submitted by today, November 6, and can be requested when you register for the session.

Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) is pleased to share we will host bi-monthly virtual stakeholder update meetings on the third Monday of every other month (see the schedule for 2024 below). These meetings are your opportunity to hear updates and information from the KDADS HCBS team and ask any related questions.

Q: How do I join the meeting?

A:? We?ll send email reminders for each meeting that will include the registration link.
After you register, you?ll receive an email with the link to join.

Q: Do I have to register?

A: Yes, you will have to register using the link provided to get the meeting connection link.?You can register at any time, including right before or during the meeting.

Q: Do I have to register for every meeting?

A: Yes, each meeting will have its own registration link and you?ll need to register for each meeting you plan to attend.??

Q: How will I know what topics will be covered?

A: November?s topics will include updates on staffing, FMAP, Policies, Wavier Renewal/Amendments, and Settings Final Rule, with time for questions. Agendas for each meeting will be sent the morning of the meeting.

Q:? What if I can?t attend but want to hear the information?

A: Recordings will be posted on the KDADS website.?We will continue to share updates in all the ways we do now, this is an ADDITIONAL way to hear them, not a replacement.

Q: What if I need special accommodation to participate?
