John – even David Schweikert’s GOP colleagues are rejecting his extremist ideas.
On a unanimous, bipartisan basis, the U.S. House of Representatives rejected Schweikert’s amendment that would have drastically cut critical water and land resources across America and right here in Arizona. It takes a lot to get everyone in both parties in Congress to vote against you, but it shows just how dangerous Schweikert’s extreme ideas are for our future.
He even described his own amendment as a "small nuclear weapon" aimed to cut funding for vital agencies. It’s clear: Schweikert is more interested in protecting billionaires and polluters than in protecting our air and water.
We dodged a bullet this time, but every day that Schweikert remains in office is another chance for him to sabotage Arizona and our environment. That’s where you come in, John.
