Dairy Farm Modernization Grant Applications Open

The Northeast Dairy Business Innovation Center's Dairy Farm Improvement & Modernization Grant is now open.

The grant will fund a wide range of farm-based projects that prioritize long-term farm viability, as well as climate and economic resilience.  

Projects may focus on modernization of outdated farm practices; specialized equipment, including milking systems, animal comfort improvements, water and nutrition management, and manure handling; technology improvements; alternative business ownership/management models; creating a culture of continuous improvement; and more. 

Awards will range from $15,000 to $100,000, with a 25% match commitment. Current and former farmer participants in NEDBIC-funded dairy cohorts will receive priority for a portion of the grant funds. Total funding available is $1,495,000. 

Applications close on Thursday, December 7 at 2:00 pm.
