Fellow New Yorkers:
We are encouraging you to take two actions. The first is to request that our Governor put the NY HEAT Act in her budget, which you can do via a pre-populated email ([link removed]) (that you can modify as you see fit). The second is to make sure you vote tomorrow, and invite your family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues to do the same.

TAKE ACTION TODAY:
Ask the Governor to Pass the NY HEAT ACT
Gas utilities are hurting your bank account – and your health!
Did you know that utilities are building unnecessary gas pipelines and forcing you to pay for them? As if that weren't bad enough, studies ([link removed]) show that air pollution from buildings burning fossil fuels like gas leads to nearly 2,000 premature deaths each year in New York State!
We can put an end to this is by passing the NY HEAT Act. The New York Home Energy Affordable Transition ([link removed]) (NY HEAT) Act will lower skyrocketing utility bills, saving low- and moderate-income families $75 per month by preventing utilities from making you pay for their pipelines. And it will help reduce air pollution, and make it easier for New York to reach its emissions reduction targets to address the climate crisis.
Follow this link ([link removed]) to send New York State Governor Kathy Hochul an email asking her to lead the transition to clean energy and put the NY HEAT Act in her 2024 Executive Budget!
