My friend —
In just a moment, I am going to ask you to contribute to my campaign for U.S. Senate as part of our first end-of-quarter fundraising push of this critical election year. I hope you'll give me a moment to explain why this request is so important.
The truth is, we are behind on our grassroots fundraising target for the quarter and we are only a handful of days into the month. The beginning of March has been pretty terrible for this kind of thing — the weather is looking up, people are planning their summer breaks, and most folks are beginning to tune out.
With so much going on in Washington, I need to stay focused on fighting for our progressive values in the Senate and making sure Democrats don't lose this seat (and with it, virtually any chance to flip the majority).
But trying to keep Minnesota blue and doing my job to protect our health care, defend reproductive freedom, lower the cost of prescription drugs, and more has left me with very little time to worry about our fundraising goals.
The good news is that we're not that far behind where we need to be to end the first quarter of the year in a strong position. A donation of $5, $10, or whatever you're able to spare before our weekly check-in on Monday should put us back on track for the FEC deadline.
Now, here's the part where I ask for your help:
Will you add a contribution of whatever you can afford to our campaign for U.S. Senate in Minnesota before Monday’s deadline? I need your support to keep our team on track and focus on all the critical work we have ahead of us. You can donate right here:

Your support makes an incredible difference for our campaign and my work out on the road in Minnesota. Every hard-earned dollar you are able to spare means the world to me.
I'm very fortunate to have supporters like you I can count on, and I'm so grateful you are part of the team. Thank you.
