Voter ID laws have the power to shape the electorate. They make it much harder for some eligible voters to vote than others, most often threatening to disenfranchise voters of color, young people and students, senior citizens, disabled people, and low-income folks.
It’s entirely possible that the outcome of the 2024 election could come down to who gets to vote and who gets turned away in voter ID states.
That’s why we can’t waste a moment in the next 365 days — it’s critical that we reach at least 10 million voters to let them know what ID they need to vote and how to get one if they don’t already have one.
Making a monthly gift helps us budget for the year ahead. It means we can plan even more volunteer events, Voter ID Clinics, and outreach events. It means helping even more people get their voter ID by covering fees and transportation costs they couldn’t otherwise afford.
