A Democratic governor is the last line of defense against radical, extremist policies advocated by the far right — policies that aren’t just wrong, but dangerous.

I’m committed to leading us down the path of progress to a brighter future. Together, we can improve our public education system, defend reproductive rights, secure access to the ballot box, and protect our communities.

It won’t be easy, John. Our race is highly competitive. Polls have shown us in a dead heat for months now, and pundits are calling this the marquee contest of 2024.

John, I want to be totally transparent. Outside groups are ready to pour money into this race to boost the NC GOP. Not to mention, our newest Republican opponent has already committed millions of his own fortune to winning.

This race won’t only come down to momentum. It’ll also be determined by which campaign has the resources to do the most voter outreach and run the most TV ads — that’s just the fact of the matter.

I won’t let Republicans drag this state backward because we couldn’t match them dollar-for-dollar over the next year.
