Sorry to interrupt your Sunday morning, but this can’t wait. Our one-year-out fundraising deadline is at midnight, and I just got word that we’re still trailing behind our goal by over $15,000.

We’ve won every statewide election since I took over the Minnesota DFL Party. And with the power we’ve won, we’ve passed one of the boldest and most progressive legislative agendas in the nation. 

Just like the guiding principle of the late Senator Paul Wellstone – we all do better when we all do better – we are using the power we have to make the biggest difference for as many people as we can.

Then we look at the Republican opposition: Chaos, dysfunction, division, and hate. Their presidential frontrunner is a twice-impeached, cartoonishly corrupt, insurrectionist facing more indictments than I can count.

The GOP is coming apart at the seams. But the fact is we have an extremely difficult fight ahead of us. Republicans are outraising Democrats, and a recent poll from Emerson College shows Donald Trump statistically tied with President Biden in Minnesota.

John, we cannot let abortion-banning, book-banning, union-busting, anti-democracy extremists take power in Minnesota or in Washington D.C.

We need to give this next election everything we have – we owe it to women, to workers, to BIPOC communities, to future generations, to our LGBTQ+ community, to our democracy, and to our planet itself.
