Millions remain at risk as violence escalates and health centers shut their doors.

USA for UNFPA

UNFPA is on the ground delivering relief in crisis-stricken regions across the globe. So while many of our recent updates have been focused on the escalating humanitarian crisis in Gaza, we can’t neglect to share what else is happening around the world and where you can make a difference.

Like in Sudan — where ongoing civil conflict has left 24.7 million people, roughly half of Sudan’s population, in need of humanitarian aid and protection.

United Nations Humanitarian and Emergency Relief Chief Martin Griffiths declared it "one of the worst humanitarian nightmares in recent history."

5.6 million people have been displaced and up to 9,000 have been killed in the conflict.

"Horrific reports of rape and sexual violence continue to emerge," Griffiths added. "This cannot go on."

Thanks to your gifts, UNFPA is reaching women and girls with violence intervention and lifesaving healthcare.

But our Sudan Humanitarian Response Plan is only 34% funded, so millions are counting on your gifts today. Make an emergency gift to deliver lifesaving care to the women and girls in Sudan and beyond who need it most.

Donate $48 → Reach two survivors of rape with medical care
Donate $80 → Help four UNFPA-trained midwives deliver babies
Donate $100 → Deliver contraceptives to 82 women in crisis settings
Donate another amount to support women and girls

UNFPA has provided 3,000 Dignity Kits in Sudan and airlifted 7,100 units of medicine since the beginning of the conflict.

We are distributing 600 Midwifery Kits across 9 Sudanese states and have deployed staff to prevent and respond to violence against women.

UNFPA has been supporting five facilities in Sudan’s capital to provide emergency obstetric and neonatal care services. 1,330 consultations have been provided, with 153 assisted childbirth deliveries, including 65 C-sections.

Your gifts provide not just lifesaving medicine and kits, but also trained midwives to support new mothers in places where war has threatened their ability to access basic health services.

But the situation in Sudan is escalating, so millions more vulnerable pregnant women are counting on support for access to basic health care.

Please: Make an emergency gift to deliver lifesaving care to women and girls in Sudan and beyond. Millions remain at risk as violence escalates and health centers shut their doors.

Thank you for always being there for women and girls.
